The V60 is a cone shaped pour-over made by Hario that has a unique design with its raised, spiraled ribs and wide aperture. This allows coffee to pass evenly through the paper filter - making it a quick, simple and bright cup!

Grind: Medium-Fine / Water Temp: 195-205°
Brew Ratio for 1 cup: 20 grams of Coffee for 300 grams of water.

  • Bring water to a boil and let it sit for 15-30 seconds.
  • Place v60 filter into the v60 & rinse with hot water.
    • Discard water (so to heat the mug & rid of paper taste)
  • Place the coffee grounds into the filter (20 grams) & level out.
  • Place the v60 on your mug and and then place on a scale.
    • Make sure to tare the scale - starting at zero.
  • Pour just enough water over to soak all grounds allowing it to bloom (expand) - wait around 20 seconds.
    • Tip: While it is soaking in the water - gently stir the grounds to make sure all get exposed to water.
  • Slowly pour the water into the center of the v60.
    • Tip: As you pour, make sure you are soaking the grounds evenly (a circular motion into the center - circling outward and ending with the rinsing of the the filter - so as to wash the coffee down).
  • Pour slowly and consistently until you reach 300 grams.
  • Pour into your favorite cup and enjoy!

The Chemex is designed in such a way that it produces a pure and flavorful cup of coffee without bitterness or sediment. Because of it's unique thick paper filter the water seeps through more slowly, releasing more flavor and creating a clean cup.

  • Place Chemex paper filter in Chemex & rinse with hot water.
    • Discard water (so to heat chemex & get rid of paper taste)
  • Place the coffee grounds into the filter (20 grams) & level out.
  • Place Chemex on a scale and tare to zero.
  • Pour just enough water over to soak all grounds allowing it to bloom (expand) - wait around 20 seconds.
  • Slowly pour the water into the center of the Chemex.
    • Tip: As you pour, make sure you are soaking the grounds evenly (a circular motion into the center).
  • Pour slowly and consistently until you reach 300 grams.
  • Pour into your favorite cup and enjoy!
